Testimonial: great extended trip

Just came back from a 3000+ mile trip in my '99 9-3 and was really impressed with the car's performance, comfort, roadability, and mileage. I drove from Sacramento to Yellowstone, then to Seattle before coming home. I reset the info display when I left. As I pulled up to my street, I observed that I travelled an average of 64 mph and got 31.1 mpg! This included some city driving, climbing numerous mountain passes, and passing cars on two-lane roads at up to 90 mph. I made no attempts at trying to get good mileage, and most of the time I drove at least 75 on the road.
This car is really a road eater. I even took it up to 125 for a brief period in Nevada and the car was still only turning around 4000 rpms. It felt just as stable at that speed as at 80. As a matter of fact, the car was too comfy at speed, because I collected a speeding ticket in Nevada for going 87 in a 70 zone.
Passing was so effortless, it was almost a joke. After brief turbo lag, the car would vault forward at whatever I wanted to pass in 3rd or 4th gear.
My one cricism is the comfort of the seat. I believe the bottom cushion either needs more padding or more support. My bottom side started to get pretty achy after 100 miles or so.
Anyway, I picked up this car as a lease return about two weeks before my trip, and I'm glad I did, because this car seems to be one of the best purchases I've made (and I've had dozens of cars).
