Funny thing, headbolt problems is what got me into this

Saab site earlier this year. Posted a question about the new design head bolts on C900 board and why they broke even before I reached full torque specs. The new bolt was introduced in 97 and up 4 cyl engines.

And now I keep reading about leaky headgaskets on both NG900 and 9-3's.
I wouldn't be surprised if all of it comes down to that new design headbolt being to weak.

Saab even lowered the torque specs on that new bolt.
Me and Tom Townsend was brainstorming back in May about it and he found the new Torque specs on a bulletin at the same time I found them hidden in the 9-5 service manual.
