following some earlier threads on getting a better ride from my 2001 9-3SE convertible, i put some Yokohama AVS db's on my car yesterday (205/55ZR16 W89) and LOVE 'EM! first of all, they're really quiet... like on the grooved pavement we have here in northern cal... no noise... also, a smoother ride... still getting the cowl shake, but now i only feel it through the steering wheel, and not nearly as much in the seats... the handling seems precise... not as "twitchy" as the P6000 SV's that were on there, but controlled... took the off-ramp way too fast today and the body started to roll, but the tires held tight... running 35/33 right now... may play around a bit... i bought them from the TireRack for $99 each (plus shipping)... best ride yet (better than the GoodYear RS-A's that were originally there, or the P6000 SV's or the Bridgestone Turenza Revo's that were less harsh, but not nearly as well controlled, nor nearly as quiet.
unofficial test: i'm driving faster (unwittingly...) more confident?
if you're looking for that next tire, check 'em out...
