They are a directional snow tire and very aggressive tread pattern. They were 195/60's and summer tires were 205/55's, but they still handled well. They were noisier than summer tire and had a more confortable ride in that they are not as stiff. I got 3-4 seasons out of each set. Original xnows were gislaved from saab mounted on steel rims. Drove my 1988 9000t till this past summer and it had 197,000 miles abnd looked as good as new. Never had any problems with either tire but liked the toyos better. We live north of NYC and my wife drove the car through some horrible snow storms in the mid 90's and always made it home and felt safe driving.
