Hi,

The SCC2/SID on our 99 9-3 has been replaced recently (at no charge) because (yes,) missing columns on the display.

Ever since the speed warning function is fixed at 120 km/h as "SET".
I can still toggle the little star on the display or even enter a speed in the range of 0..120 km/h, but functionally this does not change anything.
Had a 1200km highway trip last week with a quite modest joy factor.

Also the "TIME FOR SERVICE" message comes recently every time, and following the instructions in the handbook does not help to clear it permanently (-> some weeks ago a similar posting appeared, unfortunately none of the tricks suggested in the follow-ups seem to work).

I just wonder whether some sort of initialization might be required which the dealership had forgotten on ? Or one of this mysterious mating procedures with the equally mysterious TECH-II gadget ?
I would appreciate any suggestions before ... my next trip to the dealer.
