SAAB started their quality-program first in 1998, when they took a new approach by building quality into their cars, instead of inspecting the cars after they leave the production-line.
The results of this work started showing off almost imediately, and the quality of the cars have improven quite significantly. But still, the 9-3 modell represent a quality SAAB can't feel comfortable with. The 9-5 have set a hole new standard for SAAB, and expect the new 9-3/9-4 to be even better.
In 2-3 years we can expect to see SAAB's in topp of quality-studies of even cars with 4-5 years on the road.
