How do deal with a lame dealer?

Hi folks,
Well, I had my heart all set on a nice new 2002 9-3; midnight blue with tan interior, 5spd. Mmmmmm. But my dealer seems to be somewhat inept. I've already posted about the specifics, but to summarize: I test drove a car that had a shimmy at around 60mph. He gave all sorts of explanations / excuses, promising that they'd fix the "simple" problem. That was 3 days ago. The car has still apparently not been fixed. They also have no other 5spds for me to test drive.
This means that a) the car was a lemon or b) my dealer's service / attention to detail is seriously lacking. It could also be a combination of both. I'm reluctant to buy from this guy as I understand Saab's need some TLC. There are no other dealers within 1 hr of me.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me? I live in central, VA (USA) but I might know someone in NY who can cut me a deal. But for service, I'd still be stuck with Airhead Motors down here.
Comments / advice / anything appreciated.
Thanks,
DT
