In your favor: You don't say if she even wanted this car in the first place, but have you considered that this is just her manipulative way of making you jump over an even higher hurdle to prove yourself? If she wanted the SAAB, tell her tough, she is being selfish and you are offended. Then go watch football and pretend she isn't there.

In her favor: Alternatively, if you wanted the SAAB and forced it on her as a "surprise", you screwed up. How about ditching your unnamed set of wheels, you keep the SAAB, and keep her happy with an SUV until she changes her mind again, in which case see the preceding paragraph.

In the car's favor: I feel badly for the SAAB, stuck in a dysfunctional relationship. Unwanted by two yuppies with more money than brains, it doesn't get to go to the mall with the other cars, never at the school plays, left behind on vacation. Who knows what effect this will have on the car years from now! And some saabnet fan may buy it and endure its torments as it seeks to work out its frustration against its original owners!

One day at a stoplight I said to my girfriend, you know, that car is you. No comment from her. She shows up two days later in the referenced Mitsubishi convertible which earned her a hideous 4 year lease payment due to the significant early termination charges on her one year old SUV, which lease was already was amortizing previous early termination charges. Hey, its not my credit rating, I don't care. But now its its my fault because I suggested it. The make up sex is great, though.

Most women make decisions based on their emotions at the moment, sometimes if you just ignore them they go on to something else...although for you that will probably be kids and early termination isn't an option there!
