I just put on some Nokian NRW tires in early December. 185/65-15.
These are ALL-WEATHER tires, NOT All-Season tires. Nokian's definition of ALL-WEATHER is a winter tire that spends it's time on a combination of: dry or slushy or icy or snowy roads.
I'm in Toronto, and we have had only 1 good (paralyzing?) snow dump this year so far. I was AMAZED at how the tires stuck to the ground. The expressways were jammed, so I took the backroads home from work that night. VERY grippy tires in the snow.
On dry roads I do notice the reduced handling.
I do not recommend these as 4-season tires, nor is that their design intent.
I DO recommend them as winter tires in an area that sees varied road conditions.
