'01 9-3SE oil from exhaust during warmup

Car has 3k on it and with cold weather I let it idle in the driveway to warm up a bit before leaving in the morning (5-10mins). Normal condensation drops/sprays from exhaust while sitting there warming up, but now it appears that the condesation/drops are pretty heavily laden with oil/petroleum. I noticed it during a recent rainstorm as the rainbow of oil ran down the length of the driveway.
My questions are twofold 1) is this normal to have some oil blow-by (from turbo I guess) during warmup and 2) has anyone else seen/heard of it on a new, not even broken in, vehicle.
Thoughts/advice?
Thanks.
