I had the same worry but have just bought a 93 aero convertable 2002(base price was around 23,000 from carsfromeurope).

I have done it on their finance deal which is on an APR of 7%. the guaranteed future value is around £9,500 based on 25,000 miles per annum. I cant see the car being worth any more than that i.e. with 75,000 on the clock in 3 years therefore I basically envisage loosing around 13,000 obver three years.

Who knows how this car will price second hand against a car bought from a british showroom and sold second hand although it certainly wont be £7,000 cheaper.

I was told by Saab Uk that the convertable is not due to be released for at least 2 years although I have heard frfom another source that it could be next spring. If you really want the saab and can afford it then go for it.
