Hi,
I have a '99 9-3 base automatic who's lease will be ending about a year from now, in Feb 2003. The car has been great, super reliable, I took great care of it, it looks absolutely mint, I am really a fanatic with it. I would definitely keep it, except its an automatic. At the time I got it, I had no choice but to get an auto. If I were to keep the car, I'd definitely do some performance/handling mods. I'm not too keen on doing perf mods with an automatic, plus there's the fun factor of a stick that I want.

If what I have heard is correct, I have no interest in getting the NG 9-3 when it comes out...I really like the utility/look/SAABishness of the hatch. Does anyone think any 2002 9-3s (new) will still be around in about a year?? This 9-3 was my/my family's first new car ever. We'd always bought used cars. But, now that I have had this new car, I don't think I can go used again, becuase I take such good care of my car, and I see how poorly some people treat theirs...unless I find a gem, I dunno if I'd want a used one.

So my options are:
A) Keep my auto 9-3 which has been great and well taken care of
B) Get a used 9-3 stick, but it would be hard to find one babied like mine
C) Hope there are still 2002's around in a year

What would you guys do??
