I've got a six month old 01 93 SE. I had it in for a routine service/oil change on Tuesday. Up until last night, the car was great with only a few minor complaints.

When I get to my car last night, the keyless remote wouldn't unlock the door. I unlock it manually. No lights. nothing. I get a ride home from a friend and drive back in my wife's car with jumper cables. Jumper cables give power to lights, engine turns over but doesn't start. Also Onstar doesn't work. Then things get worse.

I call Saab roadside assistance. The moron on the phone wants the VIN number which I struggle to read to him in the dark. The VIN starts with a Y, buy he will not do anything for me because he insists the VIN starts with a number. Finally I ask for his supervisor. He puts me on hold and that's it. Five minutes on hold and I call back. Finally someone who isn't a moron. She arranges for a tow. It's been a half hour.

The tow truck gets there an hour later. Next moron. Me: "it's the green Saab over there." Moron: "OK." Pulls tow truck up to black BMW. 20 minutes later he has my car hooked up, but doesn't want to give me a receipt. Radio's in and he's told to give me a receipt. Then he's ready to leave. Tries to pull away, but hasn't released my brake.

I'm waiting for the dealer to call and tell me what's wrong. I assume its the DI cassette(?) that has been a problem for other people.

I hope the dealer is OK. GM roadside assistance gets a D-.
