Curious -- how much do you US owners pay for oil change

I'm based in the UK. I see a lot of US owners talking about 3000 / 4000 mile oil changes. Just out of interest, how much do you US drivers pay for an oil&filter change using Mobil 1 or similar spec oil?

In the UK, this type of oil change would cost well over £60 ($85) at a Saab dealer, and at a fast-fit chain would still cost around $60 - $70.

Is it cheaper in the US, or do you simply spend more money on your cars? In the UK, owners typically stick to the factory 10-12,000 mile intervals.
