Hi ChrisB,
The viggen suspensions are a good upgrade for the SE. The original suspension on the SE that I test drove had quite a bit of body roll under high speed cornering. With the viggen suspension, I don't feel much body roll... of course the downside is that your ride is harsher, especially over speed bumps!
As for tires, the Sport Veloce are good tires, but not good enough for the SE. The SVs are more of a touring tire than a performance tire. When you are cruising on the highway, it's really stable, both dry and wet. But when you are in the city and start toying with them, they will complain. They squeal when I accelerate from a complete stop, and when I take corner a little faster than usual (not what I consider aggresive cornering), I can always hear a loud howl from the tires until I start going straight again. Play around with your tires a bit and let me know if you hear what I heard. But I don't want to give you any ideas about upgrading your tires though... because the SV are indeed very good tires. I am not sure what model of AVS that GPG was referring to, but both the AVS Sport and AVS db should provide considerably better performance than the SV tires.
