Or maybe GM will do for Saab what they've done for Oldmobile. Really, it makes no difference to me. I have no brand loyalty. I've owned a '63 ford (gift), a '67 dodge ($250), a '91 nissan sentra SE-R (new at under $12K), a '95 jetta GLX (new at under $20K), and an '01 saab 9-3 (new at $24K). They were all great cars for the price.
The mrs drives the saab and I drive the jetta. It has 101000 miles and i'd love to get a new car. I'd get a saab if I could but for now I have to wait. If saab is making cars that I dont like come new car time, I'll move on. That's what happened with the jetta: I don't like the new jettas so we got a saab.
All this bickering about what GM has or has not to do to get saab to survive seems silly to me. If saab stops making cars I like, I'll buy something else. I don't care why they did it. It makes no difference.
