Let's hope the GM Epsilon chassis the hosts such divergent platforms as the Chevy Malibu, Pontiac Grand Am, and the Opel Vectra can also allow Saab to retain the charactistics that we have come to love. The Jaguar X-Type did not survive the merge with Ford well. They utilized the "Mondeo" group platform and created a bland over-priced Ford. At least the new 9-3 utilizes unique powertrains - I pray the new 6-speed will have a better feel than the old five-speeds - the extra gate can really make things a mess in a tranny with "loose" connections.
