Check with whoever you bought the car from. From my understanding, the warranty is good for 50k NO MATTER WHO OWNS THE CAR! It's the car that is warrantied, not the owner. If the pump blew, you should be covered. I bought a used 99 9-3 with 42k. They told me the warranty was good for 50k. (I had it extended to 100k) Please check with Saab. Their roadside assistance program should extend to 50k also. I was told that if the car is under warranty and a part fails that is covered, Saab will a) fix it free, b) come get it and tow it, and c) put you in a loaner or cover a rental for the time you're car is down. Unfortunately, I don't think they cover lost pleasure from a blown vacation, but hopefully this will take a big bite out of your financial burden. Hope this helps! (p.s. Where in Jersey?)
