Actually, the hydraulic clutch was introduced on the 1998 900. About the only other major improvements for the 9-3 were some suspension upgrades and the new bumpers and taillights. There were other things, like an upgraded computer system, optional in-dash CD player, adjustable intermittant wipers, and a fancier hands-free cell phone kit interface.
