Man, this sucks. Heard back from Saab

Dear Mr. officeboy, (no not really the name I used)
We apologize for your concerns with your Saab's Air Flow selector knobs. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with these repairs. Since the car was purchased "as is" after warranty, the cost of any repairs would be the responsibility of the new owner.
I do understand the special circumstances surrounding your vehicle purchase. I would suggest that you contact Kelly Saab and inquire why this problem was not detected and corrected. It sounds as if this was the exact reason you paid them a lot of money to inspect the car. Did they provide you with any type of used car warranty?
While there was a service bulletin, there was no service recall. If an owner did bring the vehicle in under warranty, the repair would of course be done under warranty. However, after the warranty it would have been the owner's expense. Again, I cannot tell you why Kelly did not check on this issue.
Once again, we are sorry and we hope to have a chance to better serve you.
Sincerely,
Jamie

So I get the run around, and of course the people that sold me my car, and that dealership are 3000 miles away. Kelly Saab did say sorry, :P (thanks guys) I called the Saab dealer in Bellevue and they were also really sorry, but it’s gona cost about $1000 to fix it. They also mentioned that Saab almost never does anything for second hand buyers.
Man, looks like I’m gona have to try and rip it apart myself.. Sucks cus I’ve never been very good with plasticy stuff.
*sigh*
