Good choice -- the convertible is a blast, much fun to drive. Couple of things to look for:
Drive it with the top up and down, but mostly with it up. Listen for rattles in the roof, excessive wind noise (the mirrors make a lot of noise, think this is design issue though someone on this board posted a fix for it), window rattles, etc. Most of this can be fixed at the dealer prior to delivery.
Check electrical: mirrors, power seats, heated seats (they won't work with the A/C activated fyi), fan controls. Check the heater box controls that everyone mentioned, if they're starting to break have them fix it or replace the box.
The Saab certified program is a big plus. The extra piece of mind is worth it. Check Saabusa's site, they have a certified vehicle finder which works well.
Then the obvious: alignment, tire wear, yada yada yada.
Just promise us you'll be driving top down when the temperature dips into the 50s (snubbing all BMW converts with the tops up, ha ha) and welcome to the club.
