Anything that is not covered by warranty (tires, rims, alignment) could be done more cheaply, and probably more honestly at a good independent shop depending where you live - check the mechanics link on the SAABNet homepage. I would NEVER let the dealer do tires & rims at the prices they charge for parts and labor. Tires from tire rack, and, if necessary, rims as well. TireRack also lists recommended shops by zip code that can do tire and rim installs, and most likely alignment as well.
The other thing I find by going to an independent shop is that I talk DIRECTLY to the mechanics, not indirectly via the service manager like at the dealership. Too many people walk into the dealer and just hand over their credit card, and the service managers get used to charging lots of money for simple repairs without having to provide a whole lot of information or reason for the high costs. Caveat Emptor.
