Just a couple of ideas.

First, how accurate do you think your speedometer is?

Next, performance will suffer as the intercooler gets hot. Coasting along at 60 gives it a chance to cool off before you blast off.

What's the ambient wind? A little tailwind would help you more at 80 than it would at 30. (V^2)

Correct your results to standard temperature & altitude. I believe the magazines do. But that correction is more valid for a n/a engine, so I don't know if 'they' do it differently?
