Probably taillights ... Posted by Vic [Email] (#2192) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Vic) on Sun, 24 Nov 2002 18:02:18 In Reply to: Re: Leaking Trunk, But Where?, C Williams, Sun, 24 Nov 2002 17:54:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 99 convertible has the leak, too ... it appears to be the passenger side taillight in my case. Dealer sez it's a matter or removing the taillight, cleaning off the old sealant and reapplying it. Of course, they want $119 to do the job.
Remove the trim, crawl inside there and have someone apply a hose to the back of the car. You'll see where it's coming in (assuming you have a coupe).
Someone else suggested spraying some sort of powder around the inside of the trunk, applying the hose and looking for the tracks, which sounds like a good way to source it as well.
