I just had the same problem prior to Christmas with my 99 93SE HOT. It was in with the local dealer to have 60K service. They noticed that the head was leaking. They pulled the head, replaced the head gasket and assurred me that they did plane the head prior to replacement. I too was on Saab regarding this since the same service required that the front struts be replaced, CV joint replaced, front brakes and related issues. OH yeah, the defroster box broke while it was in, still havent heard from Saab regarding that repair. Saab was "good enough" to pay for the head gasket while I paid the labor(even though they told me on the phone that they were paying for all of it) but they did pick up the struts since I had noted the problem while under warranty.
