I replaced the shocks on my Saab with Bilsteins. The ride is firm, but the way I like it. I thought about Konis, but decided the Bilsteins would do what I needed. I also enjoyed Bilsteins on an Audi I owned 15 years ago. Bilstein is a German company that started making shocks for Mercedes-Benz in 1954, and provided shocks to European automobile manufacturers and race teams ever since. They've been a desirable item among sports car enthusiasts for many years. The street is nothing new to them. They established a reputation in North America after the Baja 1000, where they formally entered the US market in 1972. They entered the US original equipment market in 1984 with the 1984 Corvette, and GM 4 wheel drive trucks.
