That's very true, clay bars work great on removing paint overspray, but for whatever reason, I haven't ever seen them remove any cured paint. It could be that overspray doesn't adhere well to properly cured paint, and so a clay bar treats it like any other surface contaminant. I did use a clay bar to remove some overspray from a repair on it, and it worked very well. Like the article says, I always make sure to use a lot of lubricant. I could see those bars doing some serious damage to the paint if rubbed on it dry.
