I drove past one of the SAAB dealers here in the Atlanta area (Marietta location of Jim Ellis SAAB/Mazda) and there were a bunch of 9-3SS's on the lot. I also spied a 5-door black Viggen (just like mine) on the lot. The price said marked down from $38K to $32K, roughly. I would assume it's a non-titled 2002 for anyone interested.

I would expect in Atlanta, where there are a sh*tload of cars, I would have at least experienced one 9-3SS, but not yet. I think if they could get these cars on the road in decent numbers, others would follow because the value of the 9-3SS linear, given recent incentives, is pretty amazing when compared to the mass-market Japanese sedans. It's certainly a car that will turn heads and draw second glances. Sure it's a more expensive car to own in the long run, but a helluva lot more fun.

I'm beginning to suspect that very few people are buying these cars. Perhaps it's due to a failing economy and impending, inevitable war. Consumer confidence is also tanking. Really bad timing for a new model and really bad timing for a company that NEEDS to sell some cars.

Anyone in Atlanta have a 9-3SS yet?
