Rebecca, I have '99 Saab 9-3 S Conv that I added the audio upgrade. It was actually very easy. The doors are pre-wired for the subwoofers that you need to install. The only item that I had a difficult time was the Amp. It goes on the right side of the counsel by the passengers feet and it requires a 5 pin DIN connection and (in america) you can only by male to female connections... So, I had to buy a part that allowed me to connect the femail end to the female end of the amp... It was only $9, but very hard to find. Let me know, if you are serious about this and I can get the parts you need. But, I would contact someone who has a junked out 9-3 SE. I bought my speakers for the door and Amp for about $150. ANd, the sound quality after I added it is great!!! Also, the installation is simple too. Even if you do not have a mechanical bone in your body... Saab makes it easy!
