This is probably best done when it is not really cold out since you have to bend the cowl slightly to get to the filter and don't want to crack it. First you have to remove the passenger side wiper arm,(before you do this, mark where it sits on the windshild so you know exactly how to reposition it upon reinstallation.) loosen the bolt and then wiggle the arm up. Pull up the rubber weather stip that goes over the lower part of the cowl,(with the hood up) and pull up on the metal clips that hold the cowl in place (there are two). Carefully pull down on the cowl from under the lower windshild molding, once you do that, you will have to bend it to clear the corner of the hood. After you get that pulled up you will have to pull out that other black plastic shield that covers the wiper motor, you will then see the dirty cabin filter. It is held in by two clips. Make sure you vacuum out the debris that is hanging around the filter so that it doesnt' fall in once you remove the old filter. Unclip the filter, install the new one and reassemble. It took me about 15 minutes... Good Luck and try this in a warm garage or something, and be careful not to crack the flimsy plastic pieces.
