Long Viggen Tire Question - Alignment? Bushings?

I've got about 18.2K miles on my stock P6000's and while I'm not at the tread wear indicator yet, it won't be very long. They are definitely noisy as hell and prone to spin when accelerating from 1st gear - even when I'm trying not to - it's even worse in the rain. I don't think the tires are necessarily dangerous but not conducive to spirited driving.
I'm pretty set on getting the Bridgestone S03's that everyone raves about, but I haven't discounted some Toyo Proxes either since I really liked those on my older '98 900SET (comments/suggestions/criticisms welcome), and they would probably be slightly cheaper.
Should I get the factory alignment redone before putting new rubber on? If so, should I go ahead and upgrade the bushings to polyurethane since that will necessitate an alignment anyway?
I suspect the IDEAL solution is bushings --> alignment --> tires, but may be more $$$ than I'm ready to plunk down - my job security is not high right now and the job market sucks ass. I've done KICInnovations steering rack upgrade and SAS sway bar, and the bushings come highly recommended. I have a really good shop (non-SAAB) near my house that does this sort of work, but perhaps a SAAB shop is where it should go.
Any ballpark figures for bushings/alignment? I can figure out the tires myself depending on whether I get Toyos locally or S03's from TireRack.
Thanks everyone,
John
