I guess I figured it was the turbo, since it was also my first turbo car. Our '89 base 900, '95 Integra, '86 Jetta, etc... all had way better engine braking than the '01 9³. These cars shut off fuel supply during over-run (no backfiring). I guess the T-7 could also close the throttle plate much more slowly. But I've noticed the same thing on descents of a couple miles. Is the T-7 holding the throttle open??
