When I got the car, the amount of seat adjustment was a bit of mixed blessing.
I take occasional long trips (Ithaca to Boston, Cape Cod, and northern NH) and couldn't get comfortable for the first one or two, as I was learning all the seat adjustments. I was coming out of a Subaru Outback, which, though a great car, was misery on my back after a few hours. Comfort is subjective, but here are some ideas.
What I found:
Remove your wallet from your back pocket when you're driving. Most people do this anyway, and it really makes a difference in your leg/back comfort.
Make sure the seat bottom is relatively flat at whatever height you choose, that is, not dipped backwards so your thighs are pointing up. This is comfortable at first, but the extra weight on my tailbone did me in on long drives.
The seat back should be relatively upright, so your shoulders are gently supported. You probably don't want to have to be lifting your shoulders off the seat back to be cruising in a straight line. An armrest helps here too.
Now that I've dialed in my seating position, this car is a pleasure to drive long distances. I arrive after 8 hours feeling just fine. I hope you can find the right adjustment!
Best,
Lutfisk
