Dealer and Saab to pay for SS3 Sound Upgrade

Well I finally have a resolution on this one. Saab Canada and my dealer have agreed to split the cost 3-ways of the SS3 sound system upgrade for my 9-3SS Linear Launch. The beef was that all Saab's Canadian literature (including the website) listed the SS3 system as the premium one that the launch package gets. In fact, this is wrong. The Launch package simply gets the "Infotainment" package along with the crappy 7-speaker setup.

For those interested, the SS3 upgrade costs $1237+tax CDN.

After I contacted my dealer, he contacted Saab Canada and they fixed all their literature and the website. I was not informed as to whether anyone else in Canada or the USA will be offered the same deal as me, sorry. I would encourage you to put pressure on your dealer though, if you feel strongly that you were sold the 13-speaker system even though your car has the 7-speaker one. Thankfully, my dealer is also a Saturn dealer and was most eager to please.
