2 problems with new 9-3 SS... anyone else?

1) Anyone else having trouble getting your in-car garage door opener buttons to program in the new 9-3 SS? Two months after buying the car, these still don't program. Mentioned at my 30-day service and was told it must be the "rolling code" thing and "it's really a minor thing... just a garage door opener"! Later, my salesperson indicated a couple other of her purchasers are having the same problem with it not programming. Once I talked to Homelink, they called the dealer & got them interested enough in trying to help me get the problem fixed. BTW, we own a Bonneville which picked up the programming immediately a few months ago.
2) Have gotten "OnStar system malfunction. Contact Service." message in SID 3 times on 2 days now. Ironic part is that I'm still waiting on notification that OnStar system can be installed in my car. Anyone know anything about this message? Seems silly that the warning comes up telling me a system not really installed is malfunctioning :-)
