I have 235/40-17. They're only 0.1" less overall diameter than stock. They protect the rim better and look like they should be the oem size. BMW M3 had 235/40-17 tires on 17x7.5 rims stock in 1995 model year. I think it says something given the fact that BMW engineers could've gone with several tire/wheel size combo's. Saab did the same thing with the viggen as they did with the SPG's. Saab accountants used smaller sizes for their sportiest models than what was available on other saabs. The spg had 5.5" wide rims while 6" were available and the viggen got 215 wide tires while the aero has 225's. OK, now I have to get going..gotta find a lawyer today to help with 86/65 ticket I got in the viggen..
