with a 17, remember that a 235 is only 2 cm wider than a 215. In essence, the tire is only 1 cm wider on each side of the rim, in reality, its not even that much. A 225 is only 1/2 cm on each side of the rim, but since it is a 45 series tire, it will have larger diameter than the stock tire, which changes your speedo calibration a bit. If you read the specifications on tire rack, you'll see that the revolutions per mile is closer to stock on a 235/40, than on a 225/45. That's all I'm trying to say. And they look really cool.
