I have had this happen to me too (on both the 9-3 and 900 C my girlfriend owns - sometimes I think the 9-3 has more bugs than the 900...anyway). I usually just have to run the washer again (a longer cycle) and it goes back to "normal".
Since you brought this up, I do have a problem that I have a question about (and you kind of answered). My headlight wipers don't rest totally flush on that "rests" at the bottom of the headlights (unlike the 900 C, which rest perfectly on those "rests)". How did you remove the wiper arms? And by doing so, does one risk the chance of messing up the timing or range of motion?
