For those who carry a DI cassette around in there trunk and might wish reimbursement under warantee if DIC failure occurs. This is the response from Saab Customer service:
Michael,
Yes, you can be reimbursed if the part fails. In order to be reimbursed though you would need 1) receipt of the DI Cassette and 2)A repair order from a dealership stating that was the problem.
Sincerely,
Phil

you did not answer the question. My question was : If I replace a failed
Direct ignition cassette unit in my under-warantee -saab and bring it to
the
dealer, will I be reimbursed?
This could save me up to 3 days of time(weekend)
motel and food bills(nearest
dealer 75 miles away.
dealers don't always stock
item.
Please answer the question Will I be Reinbursed for the DI cassette that I
carry around in my trunk in case I must install it in an emergency?
I would prefer that you answer this question directly and not tell me what
you would prefer.
This issue has come up in saabnet where thousands of saab owners will read
it; We would like to know that Saab stands behind us and doesn't choose to
greatly inconvenience us because of rigid unfair rules.
Yours truly
