Welcome aboard.
I hear where you are coming from on the language thing - I came over to this country with my parents when I was 5 years old - and the first few years are forever ingrained in my memory with all of the "fun" concerning my langauge skills. My only recommendation to you is to continue to learn and disregard the negative comments. Chances are you'll hear them again - but hopefully less and less often as time goes by and your language skills go up.
My recommendation for your SAAB would be a K&N air filter. I have been an avid user of K&N for a numbeer of years and have installed them in all my vehicles - SAAB's, one Mercedes, several Yamaha motorcyles etc. In every case I have noticed a difference with bottom end torque and high end power - not a whole lot, but noticable. The nice thing is that this is a very simple Do-It-Yourself "upgrade" that also takes care of your engine in the long run - a good airfilter is a must-have for the engine.
Also, since you purchased the car used, I would replace spark plugs - if you don't know that they have been replaced recently...
Good luck with your SAAB!
