As a few of you have had this warning light come on I thought I'd share the solution to mine! Contrary to other postings on this my warning light was not caused by a sensor. An OBDII code pointed ot a resistor in the arming circuit, the Saab tech replaced the resistor, the code was reset, the car started but the system still didn't check out cleanly. The problem was the wearing of a coating (insulation) on the wire coil that connects the steering wheel to the column. As I come from "the old school" I had not thought of this connection being a physical wire that wraps and unwraps as you turn the wheel, I thought some form of slip ring, like in old horn connections, was used - NOT, too much chance of spurious spikes in the wiring resistance which could set off the airbag! So, add this to the clues to follow if you air bag light comes on.
