Amplifier Problems

I installed a Rockford 400a4 amp a week ago. I was putting all the rear speaker covers back together, when I noticed that the ground wire had been disconnected. I reconnected the wire to the ground and finished putting the covers back together. When I started the car again the amp would not power on. I have checked the remote turn on connection and even tried a new wire, and had no success. I had been running the amp for about a week with no problems, and I don't know when the ground came undone, but I am sure I ran the amp during some period without the ground. I have the remote turn on tapped into the +15 wire, which was working fine. I am not sure what has happened, so any help would be appreciated.
