Cross-drilled rotors didn't work well on my '88 9000T

On my '88 9000T, I had cross-drilled rotors from Group 6 Performance (anyone remember them?) with the then in-vogue "low-dust" Repco pads--these were terrible in the cold/wet for two reasons:
1) The Repco pads are cold-blooded beasts and don't work well until hot. The first stop of the day was noisy and high effort. I haven't tried EBCs, but I've always tended to favor the dusty OE pads ever since then. Search on the 9-5 BB and you'll find that some people love EBCs and some people hate 'em.
2) The cross-drilled rotors were TOO effective, cooling the brakes down too much, especially at highway speed. Worse, they tended to draw in water when it was raining, causing the brakes not to work very well if you exceeded 65 mph. There was a delayed braking effect because the pads got wet.
Group 6 even had a lifetime wear warranty on these things but I was so disappointed with this setup that I went back to SAAB OE when they wore out.
