If you have an SE, Switch out the 205/50/16 tires out for 205/55/16. Note also that some tires are much more comfortable than others. I had fantastic luck with the Firestone SZ50s from tirerack. What a great mix with the 9-3. Wish I had bought them again. Smooth, quiet, great in the rain, stick to the pavement very well in panic situations, etc.
If your car has 17" or 18" wheels then you can still raise the middle number but the effect won't be as great.
If you have a base model which means 15" wheels then it shouldn't be all that bad.
Are the tires old? If you have the original Michelin Pilot HX, they get horribly bumpy as they age.
