It is often recommended that you do not let your gas tank get too low before refueling, because your fuel line can suck up some containments that remain at the bottom of your tank.

Saabs are very sensitive to changes in the fuel mixture and throw a "check engine" warning if you use a certain brand of gas or a lower octane than 90.

I have had very good luck using Techron fuel system cleaner as a cure and preventative maintenance. Use the big (20oz) bottle for the first tank and as a preventative measure, you can use the smaller one every 7-10k miles.

It took my 9-3 about 150 miles after the treatment before the light went out.
