They are the best! Makes getting a lower profile car on them so much easier and less damaging to the car. Autozone carries them. I believe they were under $30. Get a container specifically for oil also to catch it when you drain. Most places won't take your old stuff unless it is in a proper container. Which makes me wonder what happens to the oil if they won't take it because of the container...hmmmmm....I think they call em "dummy pits". A hole in the back yard where everything you don't want to throw in the trash gets dumped. Anyway...be environmentally concious and get the proper container and let your old filter drain a day over your catch pan before you toss it in the trash.

Make sure you position the catch pan far enough aft of the drain before you take out the plug. It shoots backwards about a foot instead of draining directly below the plug hole. Ask me how I figured that out after years of changing oil on classic 900's that drain straight down.

Get some new drain plugs and washers from the dealer. Always keep an extra plug in case you end up stripping it a little when you remove it. When installing a new filter, pour a little fresh oil into it and rub some on the gasket. This will prime the filter a bit so your oil pressure comes up quicker when you initially start the car. Just turn it handtight, then maybe just another 1/4 turn. Don't overtighten the drain plug.

While your under the car take a look around. Look for any leaks. Check the drive axle boots and steering rack boots for cracks. Check out the brake lines. It's always a good time to catch this kind of stuff and get more familiar with the car in the process.

Use a good name oil and filter. A SAAB filter is fine but there are other choices. Mobil 1 0-40 is an excellent choice for your cars oil.
