Let me share my experience with the two 9-'s in our family.
Mine has SE shocks/struts with Viggen springs. The ride relatively harsh with minimal body roll. I thought it this was a good compromise between handling and comfort.
My fathers 9-3 just got the Eibach Pro system fitted last weekend (stocks/struts + springs). It didn't take long to realize that this setup betters mine in every respect. On rough roads the ride is much smoother, in sharp turns there is virtually no body roll and in hard braking and heavy acceleration the car is far more stable. As far as I am concerned this is the perfect setup - the ride is as comfortable as stock and the car handles like it is on rails!
