Alex,
I tinned the end of a length of speaker wire with solder and put that end into the plastic factory speaker connector. (I never cut the factory connector off.) I then soldered the other end of that wire to the capacitor and covered that connection with heat shrink tubing. Then I soldered the other end of the capacitor to another short length of speaker wire and used heat shrink tubing to cover that too. The other end of that wire got a spade connector crimped on and got connected to the + terminal on the speaker.
