I'm back after a long ride for "work"

Good ride, round trip 224 miles.

I stopped by Grainger on the way back, but they didn't have anything better than what I've got and more expensive. Not to mention that they don't sell to the public. They did have a bracket mount for the apr that would have fit the one I have, but like I said, don't sell to the public.

I adjusted along the way. I used the trip for multiple tests.

1. First went WOT, boost went 1/2 way into red, held there for a second or two and then fuel cut.
2. Next, removed the apr and Y's, went WOT, and sure enough, overshoot, wicked fast into 3/4 into red and IMMEDIATELY fuel cut. Dean, I'd like to confirm your theory that the MBC is set too high and the ECU is picking up on this.

3. Put the APR back on, WOT, 1/2 into red, held there 1-2 seconds, fuel cut.

4. Changed the setting of the APR, opened it up, allowing more air, sure enough, Boost lag, couldn't get past 1/2 into Yellow...that was it.

5. Readjusted back to original setting, and had same experience as #3

6. Went Incrementally, back, allowing more air, went WOT, Boost not quite 1/2 way into red, held for 4 seconds, fuel cut.

7. Readjusted MBC a touch lower, returned APR back to original setting, WOT, boost up to 1/2 way to red, held there until my internal radar said, Speeding ticket would not be good, let off.

So, #7 is where I left it. Punched it a few more times, and continued good boost with no fuel cuts. BUT, the temperature is up to 84 degrees, so we'll see again tomorrow morning, or later tonight.

The lower MBC setting does seem ever so slightly slower spool up time, so small, but after so many runs with the higher setting, I could tell. I suppose there is a slight tradeoff.

I still believe the diaphragm will register 5psi earlier under lower pressures compared to shop air being pressed in at 90-150 psi immediately, but have no scientific basis for that. Just seems to make sense.

Upon return, the APR was still as cool as a cucumber, and the squeeze test indicates no softness, so I think the material is safe for now. Maybe after a good long ride home in rushhour traffic will yield a different scenario, but so far so good.

This is fun.
