Oil Mix Up. Am I screwed?

I live in Southern California, have a 02 9-3, and get my oil changed every 5000 miles at the dealer.
I lent my car to my Dad last week. He thought he'd do me a favor and top off the oil. He used Castrol 20W-50. It was about half a bottle.
Am I screwed?
In the future, I'll keep the same oil the dealer uses in the trunk for topping off.
By the way--I know this may start a flurry of posts--but what weight oil do most So Cal drivers use?
